This is a day-long event that includes a geurilla lighting piece and gives students exposure to landscape and sculptural lighting with professionals. Students will have an opportunity to interact and learn with architectural lighting designers in a team environment while conducting a full scale mock-up of a lighting design concept on different elements along the river in Providence. At nighttime, the event really takes shape as bystanders at the event will walk around to look at the lighting designs that come to life, and students leave feeling empowered and excited about the power of light!

Note the guerilla lighting portion of this event is FREE and we would love to get as many students involved as possible. We will be meeting at 2pm, September 23rd, to split up into groups for the guerilla lighting in front of the Stephen Hopkins House.

The event includes a 4:30 mix-and-mingle reception as well, with appetizers and signature cocktails. Separate pricing levels exist for IALD (International Association of Lighting Designers) members and non-members.
